    今日为解决系统盘空间紧张的问题，决定用PQ从其它分区转移一些空间给系统盘，做好设置应用，重启系统，往常的画面没有出现，而是出现了一行提示：“xmnt program 2002 not found...skiping autocheck”，然后正常进入了系统。怪了，以前没有遇见过，不过我估计可能是PQ遇到了什么问题，没有应用我的操作。于是，打开Google寻找线索，果然有人也遇到过类似的问题。

    于是，我打开注册表到HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\

    看到BootExecute键值下内容为：autocheck xmnt2002 /bat="C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\PQ_BATCH.PQB" /win="C:\WINDOWS" /dbg="C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
    \PQ_DEBUG.TXT" /ver=262144 /prd="PartitionMagic"
    autocheck autochk *

    BootExecute指系统启动的时候要执行的任务，这里的内容指的就是要执行PQ的操作，上面页面上的说法是PM uses it to load their reorg utility at next bootup when you specify your Boot or System drive as a target，其中PM指的是Partition Manager。我删除了BootExecute键值下的内容（即让系统在下次启动的时候不做什么），再次重新启动，这次xmnt的字样消失了，正常登陆系统。再使用PQ做分区调整的操作，重启以后，症状又出现了，看来PQ是不能用了。我首先用CHKDSK检查了要调整的分区，然后用PM将空闲的分区调整为Free，但是PM不能将Free的分区分给现有的系统分区，这点有点遗憾（也许PM有这个功能，至少我没找到）。我又重新启动了PQ，经多几次的尝试，用PQ成功的实现了Free空间到系统分区的调整。当前BootExecute键值的内容也变成了autocheck autochk *，嗯，终于OK了。^-^

    原来PQ安装好以后会复制xmnt2002.exe到%SystemRoot%\system32 目录下，我刚刚装好以系统，我看能够启动PQ，认为它是绿色软件，故没有重装，实际上，我的%SystemRoot%\system32 目录下的xmnt2002.exe根本不存在，结果在应用操作的时候系统报错。当然啦，需要使用的应用程序都不在，要人家怎么给你干活嘛，都是我想当然认为它不需要重新安装导致的那个出错提示。-_-|| 不过，经过这个经历对PQ更加了解了，以后做类似的操作也更有经验了。

    XMNT2002是PartitionMagic 8.0里面一个可执行程序。也许是你安装的时候没有安装完全，又或者你是直接拷贝使用的，在DOS里面使用不用安装也可以，不过在Windows里用就要安装一下了。你可以重新安装PartitionMagic 8.0，然后重启计算机试试看。
